UAAC Bear Down for Health: Sport and Science in the Era of COVID-19

Thank you for your interest in the University of Arizona Arthritis Center's Bear Down Luncheon.  The celebration of a 37-year partnership with Wildcat Athletics was recognized this year with a special livestream presentation 'Bear Down for Health: Sport and Science in the Era of COVID-19'.  This unique panel discussion online program featured experts Daniel Derksen, MD, and Janko Nikolich-Zugich, MD, PhD, from University of Arizona Health Sciences along with UArizona Vice President for Athletics Dave Heeke.  This event was held on Wednesday, September 16.  A recording of the presentation may be viewed by clicking on the link below.

This meaningful collaboration began upon Hall of Fame basketball coach Lute Olson's arrival as the UA's head men's basketball coach in 1983.  The partnership has helped raise nearly $2 million for arthritis research and education over the past 37 years.  An event not to miss, each year brings a unique flair while highlighting athletics programming making headlines.
