Dr. Abigail Hamilton is an orthopaedic surgeon and sports medicine physician at the University of Arizona, Banner University Department of Sports Medicine. She is also an assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson. She completed her fellowship in orthopaedic sports medicine at TRIA Orthopaedic Center in Minneapolis, MN. Dr. Hamilton specializes in knee and shoulder surgery including ACL reconstruction and revision surgery, and complex shoulder instability treatment.

She earned her medical degree from the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2005 and subsequently completed her residency training at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program in Boston, MA.

Dr. Hamilton's career interests include a clinical focus on sports-related knee and shoulder injuries, encompassing complex knee reconstruction, various ACL surgery techniques, meniscal repair surgery, and addressing complex bone loss issues in shoulder instability and rotator cuff pathology. As a team physician for the Tucson Road Runners AHL Hockey Team and US Soccer, as well as co-team physician for the University of Arizona sports teams, Dr. Hamilton brings her specialized expertise in knee orthopaedic surgery, orthopaedic sports medicine, and shoulder orthopaedic surgery to provide comprehensive care.

She is a board certified in orthopaedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
