Your Gifts Are Vital

Arthritis is the most prevalent disabling condition in the medical field; nearly 54 million Americans—including one in three Arizonans—suffer from the painful and often debilitating degeneration and swelling in bones, joints and tissues that mark arthritis.  Some 250,000 of those afflicted are children. Osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, gout, lupus, fibromyalgia, and rheumatoid arthritis are just a few of the over 100 insidious forms of arthritis.

People give through charitable organizations like the UA Arthritis Center because they want to make a difference by helping others. Whether gifts of cash, matured stocks, real estate or an estate gift, you have the opportunity to combine your gifts with those of other generous and caring people like you, investing in the future of arthritis research, education, and care today!

Gifts of Real Estate or Real Property

The University of Arizona Foundation also receives gifts of real estate, personal property and other assets. Please contact the University of Arizona Foundation office online or by phone at (520) 621-1993 to discuss these types of gifts.

Legacy Gifts

Legacy or estate gifts are one of the simplest ways to make your gift in support of the University of Arizona Arthritis Center. The most common way is a charitable bequest to the UA Foundation/UA Arthritis Center in your will or living trust. The Office of Gift Planning at the University of Arizona Foundation can provide you with bequest language.

Charitable Lead Trust

The way this works is that you give assets to a trust that pays The University of Arizona Arthritis Center an income for a fixed number of years, which you choose. The longer the length of time, the better the gift tax savings for you. When the term is up, the remaining trust assets go to you, your family or other beneficiaries you select. This is an excellent way to transfer property to family members down the line (typically children and grandchildren) at a minimal cost.

Life Income Gifts

It is possible for you to make a charitable gift to the UA Arthritis Center and guarantee an income during your retirement for you and another person if you choose, for the rest of your lives.
