Chiyoung Lee earned her BSN and MSN from Seoul National University College of Nursing and her PhD at Duke University School of Nursing. Dr. Lee has a strong background in clinical nursing, having worked as a professional nurse at Samsung Medical Center in South Korea and as a clinical instructor at Seoul National University Hospital. Her research in mental health encompasses three interconnected areas: Exploring the biological foundations of mental disorders; Investigating the dynamics of symptoms within and across mental disorders and developing predictive models for mental disorders.

As a methodologist with a strong statistical background, she employs advanced theoretical and data-driven analytical techniques in her research.
