The University of Arizona’s rheumatology team provides outstanding clinical care to patients from across Arizona, the nation, and from other countries. Our healthcare providers function within the framework of Banner - University Medicine.  Banner - University Medicine practitioners work in partnership with the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson. This entity was created to facilitate better coordination, integration, and promotion of clinical activities to support the College of Medicine’s education, research, and patient-care goals.

Adult and Pediatric Rheumatology

Adult patients are seen in the Banner - University Medicine Rheumatology Clinic - South Campus; pediatric patients are seen in the Banner - University Medicine Whole Health Clinic - Wilmot Road. A full-service infusion clinic delivering state-of-the-art biologic therapies as well as intravenous medications is also available as a service to patients of the clinic.

With 245 licensed beds, this hospital in south Tucson is recognized as an IBM Watson Health 100 Top Hospital in the United States and an Everest Award winner for its rate of improvement in quality care over five years. The facility also is an accredited Cardiac Receiving Center by the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS), Non-Invasive Vascular Lab by the IAC, a Certified Diabetes Self-Management Education Program by the American Diabetes Association, an Infectious Disease Treatment Center of Excellence by the ADHS, and a Senior Friendly Hospital by the Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders (NICHE) Program.
