Dr. Faryal Razzaq is a first year rheumatology fellow in the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson. She recently completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Arizona. Dr. Razzaq earned her medical degree from Foundation University Medical College in Islamabad, Pakistan.

 

Prior to starting residency, she gained clinical and research experience in nephrology, hematology-oncology, and internal medicine at institutions including the Arizona Kidney Disease and Hypertension Center, the University of Arizona, and the Sina Clinic in Pakistan. She has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications and national abstracts, particularly in multiple myeloma, drug resistance, and rheumatologic conditions. Her recent work includes a meta-analysis on tocilizumab in polymyalgia rheumatica and a clinical vignette presented at the 2023 Arizona ACP Chapter meeting.

 

Dr. Razzaq is passionate about global health and has volunteered with refugee resettlement programs, polio eradication campaigns, and pediatric outreach clinics.
