Frank M. Delgado, MD
Dr. Frank Delgado is a first year rheumatology fellow in the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, before earning his medical degree from Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas in Lima, Peru. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, where he developed a strong interest in rheumatology through clinical training and research.
During residency, Dr. Delgado contributed to projects in rheumatology and quality improvement, including research presented at the American College of Rheumatology Convergence and the American College of Physicians Internal Medicine Meeting. He has co-authored peer-reviewed publications in rheumatology and public health, including studies examining musculoskeletal disease outcomes and the health experiences of Venezuelan immigrants in Peru.
Dr. Delgado has received several academic and service honors throughout his training, including the University of New Mexico Hospital iCare Award for patient and family-centered care, recognition as a nationwide poster finalist at the American College of Physicians Internal Medicine Meeting, and won the Research Incentive Contest at the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas.
