Abduljabbar Alhammoud, MD
Dr. Abduljabbar Alhammoud is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He joined the faculty in August 2023 and specializes in minimally invasive endoscopic spine surgery.
Dr. Alhammoud received his medical degree from the University of Aleppo in 2012. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Hamad Medical Corporation in 2019. He completed a fellowship in Orthopedic Spine Surgery at Kaiser Permanente in 2021 and a fellowship in Spine Surgery at Suny Upstate Medical University in 2022.
Dr. Alhammoud specializes in endoscopic spine surgery and minimally invasive spine surgery. His research focuses on spine surgery outcomes and perioperative pain management. His clinical expertise includes spinal fusion techniques such as TLIF, OLIF, ALIF, and endo-fusion. He is adept in motion preservation surgery, including cervical disc replacement, lumbar disc replacement, and laminoplasty. Additionally, Dr. Alhammoud performs adult spine deformity correction through procedures like PSO and VCR, as well as pediatric spine deformity correction using casting, growing rods, VBT, and posterior fusion. He is also proficient in SI joint fusion.
He is board certified in Orthopaedic Spine Surgery.
